POAL Planned Outage for Upgrading Friday 1st December 2023 
6:00am – 7:00pm(60mins)

The following will be impacted:
  • - POAL Internal systems
    - PortConnect Integration service
    - Container Chain Integration service

Messages received during the outage period will be queued up and processed once the system is back online. 

TSW Issue 01.12.23

There is an issue being experienced by POAL with recieving TSW clearance messages. 

POAL are currently investigating.

This message will be removed once the issue has been resolved.

Export Preadvice


Export Pre-Advice allows users to advise our partner ports of incoming export containers. Ports require this to ensure containers are handled and stored correctly. This functionality is provided for Port of Tauranga, Port of Auckland and Timaru Container Terminal. 

Most shipping lines send their bookings to PortConnect. Bookings are used to pre-populate container details in a Pre-Advice and to ensure the Pre-Advice is valid.

You cannot gate in your container without an Export Pre-Advice. You can submit an Export Pre-Advice using the below channels:
  • Export Pre-Advice available on our website
  • Email containing an XML attachment
  • API where customers submits the Export Pre-Advice details in the correct JSON format
PortConnect validates the Export Pre-Advice against the Shipping Line booking information. Validation is performed to help the ports reduce claims handling.
